Beyonce began her career as part of Destiny’s Child, with Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson back as a teenager in 1993. They performed at local shows and were discovered and signed to a record label in 1997. After a couple years, Beyonce began making solo appearances and working on a solo album. Beyonce has had great success as a solo artist and has released three albums. Her latest album is called I Am…Sasha Fierce. Beyonce remains on tour singing music from that CD. Beyonce has won many awards and has sold tens of millions of albums, both as a soloist and with Destiny’s Child. Beyonce is married to Jay-Z.
