Alesha Dixon was part of the R & B trio Mis-Teeq for six years before separating and heading on to perform a solo act. Her first solo album titled Fired Up had poor sales, due to part of her record label’s promotion, so she split with them as well. Before recording another album, she was a contestant on the reality show Strictly Come Dancing, which she went on to win. The popularity for the show helped her record a second album and make a successful comeback as a top R & B singer. Alesha will become a judge on the show Strictly Come Dancing as well as tour and record more music. Alesha Anjanette Dixon, (born 7 October 1978, in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom) is an English singer, MC, songwriter, television personality and former member of R&B girl group Mis-Teeq. After the band split in 2005, Alesha persued a solo career. She released two singles from the album, Fired Up in 2006 but after limited success in, she was dropped by Polydor in 2006. The album was eventually released in Japan in 2008. After gaining popularity by winning the BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2007, Alesha was given another chance at a music career, releasing The Alesha Show in 2008. In 2009, Alesha will be re-releasing her second album which will feature her new single, "To Love Again".
